Hi! Welcome to my the project "Rumpeltiltshe". This is the evolution of my study during the course of Concept Design for Animation and Games on ICS Art (São Paulo- Brazil). In this course, we choose a well known story to retell in your own way. I choose Rumpeltitskin = which's about a lady who's trapped by her father's greed in a marriage that could make her death. Luckily or not, she gets Rumpeltitskin's help to scape the drama, but her first baby become the goal of this horrendous creature. Welll, I always thought theses stories are really unfair to ladies, so I decided to tell it in a dark and adult version where Helga, the dautgher of the miller doesn't actually gets troubled. Keep scrooling to know more about it. =)
The story's in the medieval German, when the churchs started to dizimate all old believes, chasing witches and pagan people who wouldn't convert to cristianism. Helga and her father live in a caban close to a deep forest, in front of a great valley, almost at the end of the Royal domain, and that helps a lot Helga to keep her ocultism practices.
Helga, the miller's dautgher, was silently raised as a witch by her mother 'til her death, becoming a master of herbs science. She's deeply connected to the nature, so she found a way to get connected to crows that act like her eyes and ears by distance. This way, she can make her magic away of any threat.
Since I was raised completely surrounded by cartoons, Disney, Warner and animations with more friendly design, my first studies show this a lot. But I wanted something that had this features, although, with a design more realistic that could fit in something dark, which is something that's gonna happen along the story.
So, I hope that everyone knows that story, but it's about a greed miller, that tries to impress the king telling he has the most beautiful daugther, but not just that, the only one capable of turn straw into gold. In result of that, The king take his kid, lock her in different rooms, on bigger that other, and forces her to do it, or she'd die. Desesperate, she make a pact with a odious man (Rumpeltiltskin) that helps her, in change of her very first kid, once she gets one with her future husband, the king. (DAMN!)
In my version, I bring some lucky, (but not that much) to Helga. Once she's a Witch, her crows' help her to find out the miserable fortune her father brought her, and make the last delicious special pumpkin pie, that makes changes her father's body, of the purpose of making him become her. That way, she fool the guards, who take him instead of the real girl, to the king, while she pretend to be her father, using a illusion spell. (Confused? Ok, I was waiting for this. I'm sorry).

This pie turns her father in a real woman, for good. However, as he's not actually Helga, he ages faster than usual, making of him an uglier and depressive version of her.
There are a couple of scenarios I've made to create the universe of my version of this story. I know, there's a lot more to tell you yet, but as I said above, It's a study in progress, still. So, I hope you keep coming back, to find more about this creepy, and YES! Definitively this is a feminist version of a not very fairy tale (at least for women).
